Science

Calvary Academy’s Science curriculum in the lower grades focuses on Life, Earth and Physical Science. Students study the scientific method and the nature of science, plants, animals, habitats, the Earth, Space and the properties of matter, to name a few of the subjects covered.

The curriculum is sequential with each year building upon the foundation of the previous year.

STEM Program

Calvary’s STEM curriculum integrates concepts and skills from the four disciplines it stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This interdisciplinary approach emphasizes the use of critical thinking skills, problem solving, hands-on collaboration, and creativity. Students participate in project-based STEM activities that interconnect the four disciplines. Students also explore possible STEM career opportunities.
