Calvary Academy is a non-denominational K-8 Christian School serving students and their families since 1970.

Calvary has been a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) since 1978 and is an Illinois Non-Public State Recognized School.

Calvary Academy is unashamedly a Christian school. Bible classes are taught at all grade levels. Our curriculum is rooted in the truth of God’s word, combining both knowledge of scriptures with its practical application to our lives.

Calvary Academy’s facilities are state of the art. Calvary’s facilities include 18 classrooms, two computer labs, a library that maintains a comprehensive collection of books and periodicals, an art room, a music room, a band room, and a science laboratory. The campus also features a gymnasium, locker rooms, and athletic fields.

Calvary Academy is a secure, locked facility with over 25 security cameras operational on its campus.

Calvary offers a robust academic program that utilizes technology and programming to allow for increased individualized instruction.

Calvary employs a reading specialist to provide additional support for lower grade students.

Calvary Academy serves the suburban Chicago community. Our families represent approximately 36 different communities and 63 different churches.

Calvary Academy’s student to teacher ratio is approximately 15 to 1. Our teaching staff are committed Christians with a heart for students and a passion for education. The average teaching experience level of our staff is 11 years.

Calvary Academy is a one- to- one technology school. Calvary staff and students have access to two computer labs. Every classroom contains a Mimio Interactive Whiteboard. Students in the lower grades utilize Ipads during classroom instruction. Students in the upper grades utilize Chromebooks. Computer instruction is a part of the curriculum at all grade levels.

All grade levels receive Spanish instruction. Students in K-5th grade participate in Introductory Spanish classes. Spanish is a core subject at the Junior High level.

Calvary Academy values the fine arts. All grade levels experience the joys of art in our art room. Students in grades K- 4 enjoy music classes in a music room which houses a large variety of rhythmic and Orff instruments. Three distinct levels of Concert Band in fifth through eighth grade allow for the development of a quality instrumental experience. Students may also participate in an auditioned Jazz Band.

In addition to PE classes in K-8th grade, Calvary Academy offers a wide array of extra-curricular, interscholastic sports. Competitive sports include co-ed soccer, boys’ and girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, track and field, and cheerleading.

Calvary Academy offers before and after school care to our families. Before care begins at 6:30 am and after care ends at 6pm.
